How my pole journey started..
Hi! My name is Britt
I was born and raised in the Netherlands in '83 and moved to Austria over a decade ago. My first encounter with the pole was in 2009. It was love at first spin.
After completing my first pole dance course in the Netherlands, I moved to Austria and had to wait 3 more years until a pole studio opened in my city. It was 2011 when I was able to continue my pole dance journey.
3 x Austrian Champion
As soon as I was able to train regularly - It became a 24/7 love affair. All I could think about was becoming better at poledance. In 2012 I started doing competitions by 2016 I had won 3 national titles and was competing in world class events and on international stages.

Studio Owner, Head Trainer
I enjoyed challenging myself with competitions, but I found that sharing my passion for pole in the classroom, was what I loved most. Watching my student's strength and confidence grow; what a joy and privilege!
This is why I opened my first studio in 2012 - and - after Corona - closed my second studio in 2022.
Since then I am still teaching regular classes online and of course for 'Aerial Amazons Innsbruck' and 'Freigeist Kufstein'.
No longer owning a studio has given me the opportunity to focus more on personal training and teacher trainings - and I love it.

My prosthetic hip
When I started pole and flexibility training I was 27 years old. When I was 39 - I needed a total hip replacement due to arthritis of my hip joint as well as a torn labrum.
How did this happen? First of all, I was born with hip dysplasia - a type of 'deformity' of the hip socket, which can be a cause for faster hip deterioration if you are moving in a certain range of motion.
I had my surgery done by Prof. Dr. Martin Thaler in Innsbruck (currently located in Munich). The surgery went well and the recovery phase started on day 1 post OP, trying to get on my feet and regaining my ability to walk without crutches.
I was back on the pole in an astonishing few weeks - leaving many doctors and health care workers puzzled as to how fast I was recovering. I credit my fast recovery to my own flexibility training; where joint health and stability are key.
Getting a hip replacement is a big change for any person, let alone a full time pole dance teacher. But I wouldn't be who I am today, if I didn't make the best out of any challenging situation. It became an opportunity to put more focus on the knowledge about human anatomy and learn more about the science behind sustainable training and progression.
Today I am very happy and grateful for everything that I am still able to do on the pole and in life - and am happy to be able to give guidance to many pole dancers who face a similar surgery or situation.
